Having been born and raised in Würzburg, a town in Southern Germany famed for its wine and cultural scene, Sarah has spent her life in pursuit of pleasant places and pastimes. What better way to combine the two than learning languages? Upon graduating from German high school with a specialism in modern languages in 2013, Sarah spent a year abroad at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, followed by a degree in Chinese Studies at the University of Cambridge, where she attained a first class in every year. After stints in Shanghai and Qingdao, and after working in a London-based education consultancy for two years, Sarah is excited to live and work in China’s capital of exquisite food, delicate tea and sublime landscapes once more. As a language teacher, she is motivated by the conviction that the world becomes a much bigger, more complex and beautiful place if one is able to speak and think like someone else.
